ObamaCare Bailout Program Really Necessary??

Hello all,

Well, it's a new week and that means it's time for a new post. Sadly, this is the last blog posting in this installment of Mass Media 2 Democracy. Therefore, I hope this post finds you well as Thanksgiving draws near.

There have been many rumors that President Obama has need to create a bailout program for the ObamaCare program he started early in his presidential career. Of the several articles posted here I think it is safe to say that Obama cannot cover-up his plan to use the people's money  to save a program that clearly is not worth it. Now, I know that this would make it impossible for some people to afford health care, but it this plan is not working and the people need to bail it out with there own money then clearly Mr. President needs to head back to the drawing board.

Dennis Hastert and Cover-Up Allegations

Hello all,

Well, it's a new week and that means it's time for a new post. It is my wish that this post finds you at a safe location after the recent acts of terrorism in Paris.

This week I would like to discuss Dennis Hastert. Hastert, former Speaker of the House, has been charged with allegedly paying a former male student to keep quiet about a sexual misconduct case against the unnamed male student. This occurred while Hastert was a teacher in Illinois. It is still unclear whether or not these allegations against Hastert are true, or if they are simply a means to end a career.

Lies and Deceit... Impeachment of Obama??

Hello all,

Well, it's a new week and that means it is time for another blog posting. I wanted to take a closer look at all the rumors out there about President Obama and impeachment. Now, I realize this do not solely categorize as a cover-up story, this I know, but in some ways it does. I mean, if these so called allegations (noted in the articles below) are proven to be truthful then what does that mean for our country?

Former Michigan Lawmakers Lose Bid to Regain Old Seats After Affair

Hello all,

Well it's a new week and that means it is time for yet another political cover-up story; although, this weeks article is really just a follow-up article on one of the stories discusses previously. In one of my earlier postings I had written about two Michigan lawmakers who had covered up their affair with the help of their legal aides. This weeks article discusses the fact that neither of these two lawmakers, whose names I have purposely not stated, were reelected in Michigan. Their inability to regain their seats in office shows the will of the people to vote for two candidates who had purposely lied about their interactions with each other.

Kennedy Assassination a Cover-Up Attempt?

Hello all,

Well, it's a new week, and that means it's time for another cover-up story. The article that I have chosen for this week takes us back a few years, 52-years to be exact. In this article it states that the previous director of the CIA withheld information about President Kennedy's assassination. Fox News reports that the commission ordered to investigate this case have new evidence that supports the fact that the former CIA director was in on the assassination plans.

I have to say though, I found this story particularly interesting. While this is the first time many of us have ever heard any of this information one has to wonder if the facts presented in this article are fact or just made up.

GOP Leader Says Labor Department is Wasting Tax Money

Hello all,

Well, it't that time of the week again, and that means I have a new post for you. This week I have decided to step away from Benghazi, Clinton and Obama to cover a more taxing issue; our tax money.

In this weeks article Representative Darrell E. Issa alleges that the Labor Department has been frivolously spending our tax money on things like elevator posters since early 2009. These allegations come in light of an executive order by President Obama in which governmental departments cut their spending limits.

Now, I have to say, if this doesn't make you even more frustrated with our government I am not sure what will.

US General Exposes President Obama's Massive Isis Cover-Up

Well, it's a new week and that means it is time for yet another political cover-up case. We all know that Isis has caused much controversy here in the United States, but have you ever wondered why the US allows them to continue? Well, this article, as well as many others like it, it states that President Obama has allowed this mass hysteria to continue because of his inability to take a stand against this group. What does this mean for Americans then; well, if we continue to follow a leader with no backbone then ultimately the American people are also allowing the continuation of Isis attacks.

Update on the Hillary Clinton Scandal

Hello all,

A couple of weeks ago I posted an article on Hillary Clinton and her email scandal, and so naturally when this article popped up on my daily news I knew I had to cover it. Thus, the article for this weeks blog talks about Hillary Clinton and her email scandal.

In this article a couple of IT specialists that handled Clinton's accounts recount the day they handed over Clinton't emails to the FBI. It is also said that the FBI is 90 percent certain that they will be able to recover all of Clinton's emails.

Sorry... not sorry!! I cannot believe it has taken this for the FBI to actually find hard evidence on Clinton. I mean seriously, the first clue Clinton was mishandling information was when she declined to turn over her account information... clue #1...

IRS Targeting Conservative Groups in Cover-Up Attempt

Hello all,

It is a new week, and than means it is time for a new post. This weeks article describes a cover-up attempt by the IRS towards local conservative groups. This case is now a massive ordeal as emails have been released that show how this non-profit company has been treated by the IRS. Lerner, the spokesperson for the IRS, has known about this cover-up attempt since 20ll. Tom Fitton, spokesperson for Judicial Watch, said the following," We now have smoking-gun proof that top officials in the Obama IRS unlawfully harassed taxpayers just to keep them from complaining to Congress about IRS' targeting and abuse. No wonder the Obama IRS has had such little interest in preserving or finding Lois Lerner's emails. "

Michigan Lawmakers Cover-Up Affair

Hello all,

I have decided to take a step back from the large-scale cover-ups and focus my attention on some smaller government cover-ups. The article for this week deals with two Michigan lawmakers who used their political power to cover-up an affair the two had been involved in. I have included a summary of the article below: 

(From Left to Right: Courser, Todd and Gamrat, Cindy) 

Summary of article:

Two House Representatives, Cindy Gamrat and Todd Courser, from Michigan used their political aides to cover-up an affair that they had been in; both were married. Both leaders, elected last year, identified themselves as Tea Party members, yet they often clashed on ideas that other Tea Party members had.  To make matters worse, these two members have created false text messages trying to get people to believe that they were blackmailed. House members from Michigan will meet to determine the consequences of these actions; however these two have told lawmakers that they would not resign, and then the speaker of the House issued a statement that they would both be forced to step down from their positions. House members from Michigan will meet to determine the consequences of these actions.

Is Hillary Clinton Really Covering for Benghazi?

Hello all,

I hope everyone enjoyed their labor day weekend, I know I did. I traveled to Washington, DC and had the opportunity to walk the National Mall. This got me thinking about my blog post for this week; and there is one event in particular that grabbed my interest; Benghazi. Yes, we all know that Hillary Clinton has hidden emails that connect her to this untimely event, but how do we know for certain that this was honestly a cover-up attempt. To be honest, I am not sure we ever will. While there are multiple articles on this, the media is doing a great job of hiding any real evidence that could connect Clinton to Benghazi, and this is a huge travesty. What makes this task even more difficult is the bias that media takes on particular issues.

For your interest I have included articles, both for and against, Clinton's role in the Benghazi cover-up attempt. I would love to hear your thoughts on this issue.

Iran Nuclear Deal Really a Cover-Up Attempt?

Hello all, 


       This week I have decided to talk about a particularly interesting subject concerning both Iran and the United States Yes, you guess it, I am talking about the Iranian Nuclear deal that Obama is so generously trying to push down our throats. Now, what if I told you that this was just a cover-up attempt? Will we may never know for certain I did find a particularly interesting article on the subject matter.

       The following quote, "Obama's Iran policy is not a mere difference of opinion with a certain Israeli government. It upends American policy in the region by ushering a genocidal, anti-Jewish regime into the family of respectable nations," taken from "The Real Truth about Obama and the Iran Deal," discusses how the deal proposed by President Obama is not exactly what politicians thought they would be getting themselves into. This same article then states that," He (Obama)points out  that the Iranian regime is explicitly pledged to destroy Israel. It supports Shi'ite Muslim terrorism around the world, including against Jewish civilian targets. The ayatollahs have their armed proxy army, Hezbollah, with tens of thousands of missiles aimed at Israeli cities...Obama himself doesn't deny any of this. " 
        Later when President Obama, called "Anti-Semite" by members of the Jewish community responded with the following," There's not a smidgen of evidence for it other than the fact that there have been times when I have disagreed with a particular Israeli government's position on a particular issue." The article then further points out that Obama is the first president in our history to have to tell people he is not "Anti-Semite." Is this not a self-incriminating statement made by our president? 
        When reading this, and I realize this may just be our media slurring the facts, but this is not the only story out there detailing what Obama has tried to cover-up while trying to pass his Iranian nuclear deal. Is it just me, or are most of the events that the media covers events that are cover-up stories for an even bigger story?

The Political Insider: Obama Cover-Up

This week I have decided to start with a cover-up story that the media so graciously did nothing with, yet again confirming my disbelief in trusting media coverage.

In an article written by Alexa Coombs from the Political Insider, she wrote about presidential candidate, and current president, Obama, and a promise he blatantly made to the American people, but one that, like other politicians, he has yet to handle.

Here is one of the sentences from the article:

"As a candidate, Obama promised, “As president, I will recognize the Armenian genocide.” It’s been crickets since and, unsurprisingly, the media isn’t calling him on it." 

In this same article she cites Newsbusters who states: 

"This will be the seventh anniversary that Obama breaks that promise to be honest about what one U.S. ambassador once called a “campaign of race extermination.” Yet ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news shows have mentioned that failed promise only once during the Obama presidency. That occurred on April 12, 2015. "

This article ends with Coomb asking American citizens to expect more of their political representatives.
